About

Female chef Olivia Reese smiling in her sunny Santa Barbara kitchen, wearing a modern apron.

A 38-year-old chef living in the sunny hills of Santa Barbara, California. My journey with food began in the most ordinary way: watching my grandmother stir a pot of vegetable stew in her tiny kitchen in Vermont. What wasn’t ordinary, though, was how alive I felt in those moments—mesmerized by the way she coaxed flavor out of the simplest ingredients. I didn’t know it then, but that was the seed that would grow into a lifelong passion.

After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, I dove headfirst into the bustling restaurant world of New York City. It was exciting, intense, and admittedly exhausting. I loved the rush, but after a few years, I realized something was missing. My own health had taken a backseat, and I saw the same story play out among colleagues and diners. That’s when I pivoted. I left the high-end kitchens and began exploring how food could heal, energize, and truly nourish.

Now, I focus entirely on creating wholesome, delicious meals that support a balanced lifestyle. My kitchen philosophy is simple: healthy eating shouldn’t feel like a compromise. I love turning classic comfort foods into nutrient-packed dishes that taste just as indulgent. Think cauliflower gnocchi in a creamy cashew sauce or a decadent chocolate avocado mousse that surprises every skeptic.

Sharing the joy of healthy cooking, one class at a time.

I split my time between developing recipes, teaching local cooking workshops, and growing a few stubborn herbs in my backyard garden. My golden retriever, Olive, is my ever-faithful taste tester (though her standards are questionable at best).

To me, food is personal. It’s about reconnecting with what makes us feel good—body and soul. I believe healthy food should be approachable, full of joy, and, above all, deeply satisfying. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or have been on this path for years, I’m here to share what I’ve learned, swap stories, and hopefully inspire you to fall in love with cooking all over again.

Welcome to my kitchen—where health meets heart, one bite at a time.
