Instructions

  1. Slice or grate fresh ginger root to increase surface area.
  2. Add ginger to 2 cups of water and simmer gently for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Optional: Add lemon juice, cayenne, cinnamon, or honey while it steeps.
  4. Strain the mixture and serve warm.
  5. Store any leftover in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 3 days.
