Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte Recipe – 3-layered summer drink

A refreshing, layered drink that combines sweet strawberry syrup, creamy milk, and earthy matcha for the ultimate summer sip.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup sugar or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
  • 23 tbsp strawberry syrup
  • 3/4 cup milk or dairy-free alternative
  • 1 tsp high-quality matcha powder
  • 1/4 cup hot water (not boiling)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Combine strawberries, water, sweetener, and lemon juice in a saucepan and simmer for 10–12 minutes.
  2. Mash berries gently, strain through a fine mesh sieve, and cool the syrup.
  3. Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  4. Add 2–3 tablespoons of the cooled strawberry syrup to the bottom of the glass.
  5. Slowly pour cold milk over the back of a spoon into the glass to layer above the syrup.
  6. In a bowl, whisk matcha powder with hot water until frothy.
  7. Gently pour the whisked matcha over another spoon on top of the milk layer.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy the beautiful layered effect.

Notes

Use ceremonial grade matcha for a smoother flavor and vibrant green color. Store strawberry syrup in the fridge for up to 7 days. Chill all components ahead of time for best layering.
