Ingredients

  • 1 cup filtered water or herbal tea (warm or chilled)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds or ground flaxseeds
  • Optional: A pinch of turmeric
  • Optional: Stevia or monk fruit to taste

Instructions

  1. Start with 1 cup of warm or chilled filtered water or herbal tea.
  2. Add the juice of 1/2 lemon and 1 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar.
  3. Mix in 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon and a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  4. Stir in 1 tbsp chia seeds or ground flaxseeds and let sit for 5–10 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  5. Customize with turmeric or natural sweeteners if desired.
  6. Shake well before drinking, and enjoy warm or over ice.

Notes

Start with a light pinch of spices if you’re new to cayenne or ginger. Store in the fridge up to 3 days. Shake well before each use as seeds settle.
